Jacek Janas

Graduate from the Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. He has also completed postgraduate studies in the field of economic problems of electrical power transformation (Warsaw School of Economics - SGH) and heavy industry restructuring (Silesian University of Technology, University of Minnesota). From the beginning of his professional career associated with the energy industry. He started his career in 1989 in the Bytom Combined Heat and Power Plant, where he went through all levels, from the boiler driver to the position of the president of the board. From 2011, he was associated with TAURON Wytwarzanie, where he was initially the Vice-President, production director, and from February 2016 to August 2017 the President of the Management Board. Since February 2017, he is the President of Elektrociepłownia Stalowa Wola S.A.

He is a member of the Management Board of the Economic Society of Polish Power Plants, a member of the Management Board of the Association of Polish Electricians and a member of the Council of the Chamber of Commerce in Katowice.
